Celebrities aren’t immune to the dangers of wildfires. Southern California has faced multiple fires over the years, which destroyed several celebrity homes across Malibu, Pacific Palisades and more neighborhoods. The most destructive infernos happened in 2018 and 2025.
After the 2018 Woolsey fire, Miley Cyrus revealed that she lost her Malibu home. She even referenced the loss in her single “Flowers” in the lyric, “We were right, till we weren’t / Built a home and watched it burn.” Nearly seven years later, multiple stars’ houses burned down, including Paris Hilton‘s Malibu property. The reality TV star and her family watched their house burn on live television.

After the 2018 Woolsey fire, Miley revealed she was “grateful” for all she had left when her and then-husband Liam Hemsworth‘s Malibu home went down.
“Completely devestated [sic] by the fires affecting my community,” she wrote on social media in 2019. “I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong.”

“April, Julian, Mia and I would like to thank the courageous firefighters and volunteers,” Robin revealed on Instagram. “As we drove to safety, they risked their lives trying to save our home. We are safe and surrounded by friends and family. We Thank [sic] you for all the love and support we’ve received and we send our love and prayers to everyone affected by the fires. Count your blessings!”

“California is a paradise for us all. A gift. We are sad to not be able to defend it against Mother Nature’s wrath,” Neil wrote. “Firefighters have never seen anything like this in their lives. I have heard that said countless times in the past two days, and I have lost my home before to a California fire, now another.”

“This is the last pic I took of Leah’s rock from my beach house,” Diane wrote. “I’ve had this house for almost 30 years. It looks like it was lost in the fire last nite. There’s a rainbow shining on it which I’m taking as a sign of hope for all creatures who have been affected by this tragedy. The animals and the rescue ranch are OK tho which is the most important thing. Stay safe everyone.”
