Hurricane Milton struck Florida on October 9, demolishing homes and buildings in its path.
Hurricane Milton may have slightly weakened by the time it struck Florida, but the storm still brought chaos. Residents in Sarasota, Fort Myers, Tampa and more were left homeless, while countless others lost power across the state. Flooding overwhelmed streets and homes, and other large buildings were demolished, including the roof of the Tampa Bay Rays’ Tropicana Stadium.
News crews were on the ground to report the storm damage, including CNN’s Anderson Cooper, who was seen on camera getting hit by debris. As Florida picks up the pieces from Milton’s wrath, first responders sprung into action to help those in need.
