The October 10, 2024, geomagnetic storm produced one of the most beautiful shows in the sky we’ve ever seen. Residents across northern U.S. states, people in Northern Europe and more around the world walked outside to gaze at the northern lights — a rare sight, since the lights are usually seen clearly from the poles.
While many are hoping to see the northern lights again on October 11, the worldwide event has come and gone.
