Since 2017, Russell has been married to Laura Gallacher, and the two have built a more grounded life together. Now parents and partners, their relationship has weathered its own ups and downs — especially in light of recent headlines surrounding the actor and comedian.
Russell and Laura welcomed their first daughter, Mabel, in November 2016. Their second child, daughter Peggy, arrived in July 2018. In June 2023, Russell revealed that he and Laura were expecting their third child while appearing on the podcast The Diary of a CEO.

“I’ve changed a lot in the last five years,” Russell Brand said in 2017 while reflecting on his short-lived marriage to Katy Perry. Russell and Katy met in 2009, married in 2010, and by the end of 2011, he informed her via text message that he wanted a divorce. After finalizing the split in 2012, Russell changed his ways, which ultimately let him back to Lauren Gallacher.
After the two dated briefly in 2006, they bumped into each other in 2015. From there, a romance bloomed, resulting in their 2017 marriage. In 2016, they welcomed a daughter, Mabel, and gave her a little sister, Peggy, in 2018.
“I don’t compare my relationships now to previous relationships out of respect to my present wife and to Katy Perry. I think I’m an easier person to be with now. I’m also in a very different situation. I’m dependent on my wife,” he said in an Us Weekly interview. Here’s a look at Russell and his wife.
