New York City residents reacted to the results of the 2024 U.S. presidential election. See pictures of their parties and protests for both candidates.
As Donald Trump declared his victory in the early morning hours of November 6, 2024, some of his supporters in New York City celebrated. Large groups watched the live broadcast of his speech from Times Square, while others partied outside of Trump Tower in the Big Apple.
Kamala Harris‘ supporters, however, reacted differently. Since the VP — who became the first woman, South Asian and Black vice president in American history — lost the election, her supporters rallied outside of the New York Public Library to protest Trump’s views and policies.
